Dealing with work related issues is complex and costly.

You might lose multiple people if you don’t deal with the problem.

As a Manager in charge of new or existing business. What are your set out priorities? You observe so much that in the work environment there are complex issues that needs solutions.

These issues are the essence why the organisation had to train staffs, also.

6months is not enough to solve problems but 6months is enough to decipher the problems while putting some corrective measures in place. Remember, you dealing with work ethics and people.

As a senior and experienced employee, you got terminated base on these complex issues with staff turnover outcomes within 6months of probation. How would you feel? You were able to set guidelines, principles to drive the growth of the business for a minimum of one year while the business owners were concentrating on immediate result for profits not minding the inner faults or internal problems in the system that requires consistent restructuring.

A little digression, going through the presidential reforms and change in the political scenarios even among the state government 4year term is never enough to bring out the best outcome but is enough to make some changes that will drive the next government.

During Obasanjo’s last tenure in government for 8years (not enough) but much was accomplished. Late Bola Ige was made the Power Sector Minister. He publicly declared to fix (improve) power problems with #NEPA within 6months but he could not. He was faced with so much disruptive corruptive bottlenecks until he was replaced and asked to administer the Ministry of Justice. If this approach of being truthful inadvertently led to his death only God knows. But he stood for the right things! Credible and Honouring!

This did not happened to him alone but a host of others who wanted to make changes. OBJ never mentioned having cabals publicly in his administration but #GEJ was able to publicly declared the “cabals” influence which translates to his level of weakness, timdity and incapacitation. He was truthful as the commander-in-chief of armed forces.

Good People will continue to loose their jobs (if not life) as long as they try to solve some problems within a dangerous system and the same time employer loosing more employees when the errs are revealed.

Dealing with work related issues is complex and timely defined. A system that resist meaningful change will end up in coarse destruction. Onlike a religious head who prefers to be in position of mediocres will end up spending more recruiting for spirituality but loosing more spirit-filled congregation.

Why not deal with the problems?

1. Quality staffing

2. Financial transparency

3. Gossips and mediocrity

4. Process enforcement

5. Delegation of responsibility

6. Training (structured)

7. Good reward systems

8. Insecurity

9. Lack of Trust

10. Upholding the Fear of God

When you deal with the problems it always brings out an outcome. Problem solving is more of inquisitive which most times rubs off on the employer.

Sometimes, you the problem solver employed by the employer suddenly becomes the threat to the business.

Many have been in this situation, I, have had such experience within my 14years emplyment, so far.

So as it is, we use diplomacy to work with such employer. Imagine a long time private driver who has been denied salary for months decided to quit and was reported to the Police for insecurity by the employer. Lack of trust!

In conclusion, the problems are nefarious and the solutions are also consequential. We learn everyday so that we can improve better where else we may find ourselves. If eventually we become employers we should remember all these challenges and curb them in the future. This article is dedicated to all people in Managerial level and also for those aspiring higher positions.

Note that, at the same time it maybe costly both for the employer and employee if problems are identified and not solved. Try not limit God in your Business!
